Gulabo Honours Shanu Agarwal for Her Work Preparing Brides-to-Be

Shanu Agarwal, founder of Edge Education Genesis in Dehradun, received the Women Supporting Women award at Gulabo, held at JSR Continental on 4 August 2026. The citation recognised her customised personality transformation programme for brides-to-be.

Gulabo is a wedding series organised by the poet and author Prachi Chandra in collaboration with FICCI FLO Dehradun. It brings together women working across the wedding industry, spanning kundali matching, image consultancy, event planning, makeup, styling, personality development, photography and dance, with a podcast series built around each specialism. The actor Sunita Rajwar presented the awards. Politicians, poets and authors from across the state attended, and the event was sponsored by Naivitalya Wellness Studio, Dehradun.

Edge Education Genesis has built its work on personality development and confidence training for schools, students and adult clients. Agarwal reports having trained more than 3,000 students and 250 adult clients. The bridal programme applies the same method to a client preparing for a specific occasion and a change in circumstances.

It is her third award reported this year. She previously reported receiving an award for excellence in education at the 2026 Uttarakhand Excellence Award ceremony, and her stated focus for Q3 was a strategic push toward premium customers. ~Editor Shobhit Mehandiratta
