When Lahori Zeera first came to the market in 2017, it didn’t look like it would one day become a household name. The shelves were already full of big beverage brands. But this cumin-flavored drink from Punjab quickly found a place in people’s hearts.
The man behind it is Saurabh Munjal, Co-Founder and CEO of Archian Foods. Saurabh’s journey is not a straight road. He studied commerce and did his MBA in Singapore. While still studying, he started a trade finance company called Zeus Trading Enterprise Pte Ltd, which grew to $18.7 million in revenue. This gave him experience in global business and finance at a young age.
After returning to India, Saurabh entered the hospitality business. He co-founded Heritage Haveli and also opened popular food franchises like KFC, Burger King, and Baskin Robbins under one roof. But he wanted to do something bigger—something rooted in India’s culture.
That’s when Lahori Zeera was born. The idea was simple: make a drink that tastes like home. Using the flavors of cumin and Indian spices, the drink reminded people of the traditional refreshments served in Indian households. It was affordable, it stood out on the shelf, and it connected emotionally with customers.
Today, Archian Foods produces over 5 million bottles every day. Along with Lahori Zeera, the company now sells Nimbu, Masala Cola, and Shikanji. The goal for FY25 is to reach ₹500 crore in revenue.

Founder’s Words
"India didn’t need another drink—it needed a reminder of its own taste. When we started Lahori Zeera, we wanted to bottle the feeling of home and the taste of Indian kitchens.
Opportunities are everywhere. You just have to see them early and act fast. My journey from Singapore to Punjab has taught me that you must build with emotion and work with discipline.
To young entrepreneurs, I say: start where you are, use what you have, and don’t wait for the perfect time. Solve real problems and stay connected to your roots. That’s how small ideas grow big."* — Saurabh Munjal
From a ₹10 bottle to an ambitious ₹500-crore vision, Lahori Zeera shows that when you mix tradition with smart execution, you can create not just a product, but a brand that people feel proud to call their own.
